Anastasia Nysten

Lebanon

Born in Ottawa, Canada, from a Lebanese mother and a Finnish father, Anastasia Nysten grew up in Finland, France and Lebanon. She earned her Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in Beirut, where she worked at the design studio Karen Chekerdjian.
After graduation, she moved to London to join lighting team Michael Anastassiades.
From 2015, Anastasia experiments in her workshop objects and interiors combining stories from different cultures. She showed in Beirut, Paris, Milan and KSA. His shows include House of Today’s Jungle Protocol, Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan, Athr Gallery in Jeddah; She won the Talent Award at the Beirut Design Fair in 2017 and the Talent Award at Maison & Objet in September 2018. Her proposal for a public bench commissioned by the Pharaon group to celebrate their 150th anniversary was recently selected and will be inaugurated in September 2019. on the iconic square of downtown Beirut, Nejmeh.
