Philippe Nigro

France

Philippe Nigro, French designer. His work is characterized by the link between experimental research and the pragmatic analysis of the “know-how” of the clients with whom he works.

Over the years, these experiences, reinforced by the combination of Franco-Italian culture, allow him to respond to various problems and to navigate between projects of different types and scales, working on both product design and scenography, for industrialists, publishers, craftsmen or institutions. In 2014, he received the recognition of Designer of the year at the Maison & Objet Paris fair and was in charge of the scenography of the exhibition “Italian design beyond the crisis”, the 7th edition of the Triennale Design Museum.

In 2015, at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, he created the scenography for Lexus, the Japanese automotive company for which he created in 2017 the global concept of stand for car shows.

He collaborates with Ligne Roset, Cinna, Venini, Foscarini, DePadova, Baccarat, Moleskine, Driade, Casati Gallery, Lexus, Rado, Zanotta, Hermès, Mobilier National. Some of these projects (Twin-Chair, T.U, Confluence) are part of the collections of the Center Pompidou and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.
