Ingrid Taillandier

France

Ingrid Taillandier, a DPLG architect since 2000, quickly focused on three activities: the practice of architecture, writing and teaching. She graduated from the Paris-Belleville School of Architecture and a master’s degree from Columbia University in New York. This double journey between new world and old continent brought an intuitive and free dimension to its reflection without the framework of an assumed rigor, mastered concepts and a strong social ethics.

She collaborated in France and internationally with Philippe Gazeau, Richard Meier and Benish & Partners before founding her own agency. She teaches since 2005 in architecture school, in Paris-La Villette in the first place, and since 2011 in Versailles where she exerts her pleasure to transmit the taste of an inventive and thoughtful architecture. Having devoted numerous articles to issues related to density and height, she was scientific commissioner of the exhibition “The invention of the European Tower” presented at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal in Paris in 2009, convinced that the Europe has its say and a certain wisdom to bring to this global craze for towers.
