Julien Benayoun

Julien Benayoun was born in the Paris region and studied object design at ESAD Reims and AKI in Enschede, Netherlands.
Graduated in 2008 with a social project with Emmaüs Accommodation Centers, he joined the Mathieu Lehanneur office.
At the same time, he co-founded the bold design agency in Paris with William Boujon.

The agency is inspired by the latest technological developments, Science and the Arts to imagine their objects or their spaces. This approach allows them to collaborate with structures such as Le Laboratoire, Paris / Cambridge, the MIT Media Lab, Habitat, Nelly Rodi, the Center Pompidou, Plumen, etc.

Bold is also a research laboratory around new uses and questions traditional techniques and digital technologies.
Since their collaboration in 2015 with Dood Studio (designers and manufacturers of 3D printers), Bold has developed many projects around 3D printing.

The collection of POILU vases is represented by the AYBAR Gallery, Miami.
Four collections of 3D printed objects have recently been acquired by the National Center for the Plastic Arts (CNAP).
This initial research led Julien to Drôme, within 8Fablab with which he started a new exploration of the ceramic 3D printing technique for bold.

Julien also conducts many workshops around interaction design, 3D printing, product design.
