Marta Lavinia Carboni

Marta Lavinia Carboni is a designer and a writer based in Milan. After a Master Degree in Design she spent several years in a studio where the main focus was on colour, materials and finishing for clients such as Italo NTV, Nava and Zucchi. During the same period she worked as Assistant Professor in Politecnico di Milano and Domus Academy .
In 2008 she opened her own studio and started collaborations with some italian manufacturing companies (Texturae, Azimut and others) and realized several projects with her own brand (m-l-c). Hereafter she took part in some collective exhibitions in Italy (Ventura Lambrate, Padiglione Italia) and abroad (Vélo Velo). Simultaneously she has always worked closely with design magazines for which she works as a writer and stylist (Vogue Italia, Elle Decor, Living and Harper’s Bazaar).
She has always preferred the surface to the three-dimensional and today she concentrates her activity on the study of color and on the realization of projects that tell stories.
