Pierre Favresse

Born in 1979, Pierre Favresse trained at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris where he graduated in 2003. In 2006, Pierre received a call for projects from the VIA for the EL table. That same year, he met Mathieu Lehanneur with whom he collaborated as studio manager until September 2010. During this time, Pierre continues to develop his personal projects and refines the characteristics of his design.
After winning the Talent Revealers competition in 2008, he collaborates with Cinna and starts teaching at ENSAD. In 2009, he was selected to exhibit at the Villa Noailles during the Design Parade by unveiling the An Eclipse Day project. In 2010, Pierre is a finalist for the Audi Talents Awards thanks to the Hyné project on renewable energies.
In October 2010, Pierre favresse founded his own studio at the Ateliers de la Ville de Paris. He collaborates with several young editing houses: Petite Friture with the Tidelight lamp, Specimen and Triode with the Pearl lamp in collaboration with the embroidery artist Emmanuelle Dupont.
In April 2011 Pierre is selected to exhibit at the French Cultural Center in Milan during the International Furniture Fair. Since October 2011, Pierre has been responsible for the design and creation of the Habitat International brand since October 2011.
For the past 6 years, Pierre Favresse has been working hard to put design and creation back at the heart of the collections, together with the designers of the studio that he created. He has set up numerous collaborations with designers, artists and manufactures to give back his letters of nobility to the emblematic brand created in 1964.
