Timothée Leclabart

France

After studying art history and curating contemporary design in London, Tim Leclabart trained as a gallery owner and antique dealer with Jérome de Noirmont, the Carpenters Workshop Gallery, James Gallery and Alexandre Guillemain. At the same time, he organizes and stages exhibitions while advising young artists.
With a transversal approach to Art, Design, Architecture and Decorative Arts, Tim embarked on the creation of pieces of furniture, oscillating between sculpture and art. He spent several months in Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, in the studio of Zanini de Zanine, star designer and son of the self-taught architect José Zanine Caldas. It was in the dust emanating from the sanding of Pau Brasil and on the sound of a radio broadcasting music by Tom Jobim and Caetano Veloso that he produced his first pieces.
