Victoria Wilmotte

France

Vitoria Wilmotte was Born in Paris in 1985, she went through the Camondo School in Paris, then to the Royal College of Art in London for her master’s degree in product design under the direction of Ron Arad. Victoria Wilmotte lives in Paris where she created her studio in 2009. VW’s signature is now established as a brand through its personal creations and collaborations with numerous clients: Ikea, Legrand, Equip’ Hôtel, Made in Design, Poliform, La pierre de France, La Redoute, Classicon, Concrete LCDA, Land Rover. In 2014, she collaborated with the TORRI gallery on more exclusive publishing projects, notably at the PAD in Paris. More recently, with Carpenters Workshop Gallery on projects at the VW Factory. She answers to projects with industrial companies as well as custom orders, such as the creation of monumental marble tables or, more recently, the refurbishment of a restaurant in Paris.  In 2015, Victoria Wilmotte opened her own manufacturing workshop in order to put her know-how at the service of her customers. She has designed this workshop equipped with machine tools, where she designs and manufactures limited series, small productions, and develops prototypes before industrialization on a larger scale…Victoria Wilmotte has always had a special interest in materials, shapes and manufacturing processes, both industrial and artisanal. Minerals and steel remain areas she particularly likes. A methodical and meticulous fascination that would be closer to that of a sculptor. Between the straight line and the cut angle, the full and empty, Victoria Wilmotte offers a singular eye on the domestic universe that remains her field of interest today.
