Jean-Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc
Jean-Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc supports brands and manufacturers between industry and crafts. He created his first Studio in the 90s on the basis of a course inherited from two formations, cabinet maker inlayer (École Boulle) and designer (Ensci). He therefore continues his projects with the houses, institutions and galleries that trust him: Assa Abloy, Blackbody, Ligne Roset, LVMH Cheval Blanc, Granville Gallery, Galerie MICA, Galerie Pierre Alain Challier, Hermès, Maison Berger, Mobilier national, Meisenthal , Puiforcat, Saint-Gobain… Between 2000 and 2011, he became the creative director of the Cristallerie Daum and redeployed all of the collections with an internal team and designers from around the world. In 2017, Éditions Bernard Chauveau published a monograph based on 5 interviews with personalities from the creative world: Paul Andreu, Anne Bony, Alain Lardet, Yves Michaud, and Philippe Hardy. It is an opportunity to re-read 30 years of projects and experiences and to share the methodology that has emerged, always responding simply to the most diverse contexts. His entire approach is recognized at the Sommet du Luxe et de la Création in Paris by the Elegance Talent. In 2014, he participated in the first Skills Academy created by the Hermès Foundation. The same year, the Corning Museum of Glass (US) selected the Quadruple Fugue chandelier (Granville Gallery) for the journal New Glass. In 2018, the CNAP (National Center for the Plastic Arts) chose to have the Motenasu seat developed with the Henryot & Cie manufacture entered into its collections. In 2020, the Mobilier national acquires 3 models of lighting including 2 large chandeliers. Teacher at the National School of Art and Design in Nancy, Jean-Baptiste Sibertin-Blanc created the Glass Room Research and Creation Workshop in 2013 (Saint-Louis 2018 partnership, Larochère 2019, Ostraco 2020). He coordinates design education for the Master of Science, Luxury and Design Management at the ICN Business School in Nancy (2012/2019). In 2020, he began an artist residency at Musverre in Sars-Poteries and created the Design and Politics artistic workshop at Sciences Po.
